Talking about grief and mental health

Prince Harry, one of  the three royal founders of mental health charity Heads Together, recently admitted he should have talked more about his mother’s death.

Talking about grief or any kind of mental health issue is something that many people find difficult. However, encouraging people to speak out about mental health is one of the main aims of the charity set up by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge along with Prince Harry.

The Heads Together website states: “Heads Together wants to help people feel much more comfortable with their everyday mental wellbeing and have the practical tools to support their friends and family.”

You can find out more about the charity here.

Psychotherapy can help with: Stress (Coping with stress or having difficulty recovering from stressful situations); Depression (Coping with depression or other feelings of sadness, grief or emptiness) and Bereavement & Loss (Difficulties in coming to terms with losses such as bereavement, divorce or loss of employment, sadness, grief or emptiness) and many other issues faced by millions of people in the UK and around the world.

The message to take from Prince Harry is that talking to someone is beneficial and can help you through times of grief and stress more quickly and with a better outcome.
