About Gordon Urquhart

Gordon worked in the NHS as a Registered Nurse for 20 years; the last 10 years of this was caring for people with life-interrupting or life-limiting cancer. Since 2015 Gordon has been working as a UKCP Accredited Contemporary Psychotherapist both in the NHS and in private practice.

In the NHS, Gordon is part of a hospice Palliative Care Specialist Psychology Team and works with clients who are living with life-limiting illness or have been bereaved.

In his private practice Gordon works with a broader spectrum of challenges faced by clients. He works with adult individuals and couples. Gordon can offer greater flexibility of access to psychotherapy by working exclusively with clients in the comfort of their own space through sessions via online platforms or phone. Working with Gordon in this way can bring convenience and flexibility in managing psychotherapy around the potentially complex needs of busy lives.

His relaxed, practical approach to psychotherapy ensures his clients feel safe to explore, adapt and, where appropriate, change their experience of even the most difficult circumstances in their life.
